Restore the Run Command to the Vista Menu

One of my major hangups with vista is the 'Search Bar'. When I first started using Vista I felt that Microsoft had done a great thing - They made it so I could launch my favorite program with one click instead of two.

I was quickly disappointed to find that when you type a word into the search bar it is nothing like the old Start->Run command bar window. It starts searching for the words you type in, and many times you need to wait...and wait...and wait some more.

Additionally if you are like me...and have an old habit of clicking start, then run, then type c:\ to open up your hard drive...you are in for lots of fun with the search bar. Depending on what it finds it will almost never open your hard drive in explorer.

I found a few quick ways to ease the pain. First of all you can simply hold the windows key + R to bring up the command line window. That is the easiest.

You can also get the run command back on the start menu. This can be done by right clicking on the start button, go to properties.

Move over to the "Start Menu" Tab and click customize.

Now scroll down. Find the option that says "Run Command" Make sure it is checked, and click OK.

Now the run command will be added as an extra button to the bottom of the start menu:

Now I can get to back to my familiar old 'run' command line.

Bring the *nix "ls" to Windows with GNU ls

Windows only: Freeware app GNU ls brings the common ls terminal command for *nix to the Windows command prompt. Though subtle, this very lightweight download will bring you the nuances of the *nix terminal to Windows. If you're a heavy command line user or a heavy batch scripter, you'll appreciate the customizability GNU ls affords. GNU ls is a great companion for *nix heads stuck on Windows systems.

ls (also called msls) is a console utility that lists information on Windows files. It is based on the GNU/Linux ls directory information utility. It displays exhaustive information on Windows files including DACLs/SACLs, reparse points, shortcuts, hard links, hidden streams, encryption, compaction, and offline status.

GNU ls is an excellent way to obtain detailed file information in one location without downloading all of Cygwin. GNU ls is a free download for all versions of Windows. Thanks, Ben!

Customize Your Dual Monitor Wallpaper in Vista

Windows XP and Vista only: Dual monitor utility DisplayFusion can set different wallpaper images for each of your desktops or stretch an image across desktops. Choose one of your own images or search and browse Flickr photos for new wallpaper images right inside DisplayFusion. (I recommend searching for "panoramic" images and setting one to stretch across both monitors.) DisplayFusion was a little crabby on my PowerBook Bootcamp'ing Windows XP, but the concept is spot-on and much-needed. Can't understand why Windows doesn't have better built-in dual monitor support like this. DisplayFusion is a free download (donations requested) which requires the .NET 2.0 runtime to run.

Embed Web Widgets into the Desktop

Windows/Mac: Embed your favorite web widgets into the desktop with freeware app Hypercube. Hypercube supports several widget platforms including iGoogle, Pageflakes, Google Video and YouTube. (Netvibes modules are not currently supported.) All you need to do is select which widgets you'd like added to the desktop and Hypercube takes care of the rest. Hypercube is a free alpha download (so expect a few kinks) for Mac OS X and Windows.

Get a Free Blog

Over the past few years, blogs have become incredibly popular. Just about everyone who uses the internet also has a blog. You want to get in on the action, but you're not sure how to get your own blog.

Luckily for you, sites like Blogger.com have made it easy to set-up and make posts on a blog. In this newsletter, we will go over everything from signing up for a blog on Blogger.com to choosing a template (look) to finally making a first post.

What is Blogger.com?

Simply put, Blogger.com is a site that hosts blogs for free. This makes it even easier for you to have a blog because there is no need to set up a web site and host the blog yourself. All you have to do on Blogger.com, once you've signed up, is login to your blog, write a blog post and click submit. It's that simple.

What will my web address be on Blogger.com?

Your web address will be http://yourname.blogspot.com. One thing that people dislike about Blogger and other free blog sites is that they don't have as great of a freedom in choosing a name. You are limited to choosing only what is available. So if you're looking for http://net-hunt.blogspot.com, you probably won't be able to find that.

Signing up for a blog on Blogger

The first thing you'll do is go to blogger.com. Next, you'll scroll down the page and click on the button labeled "Create Your Blog Now".

You will then be taken to a page where you will enter an email address(used to log into your blog), a password, and a word verification. You'll also have to check "I Accept Terms of Service". Click continue.

Next, you will be taken to a page where you will choose the blog title, blog address, and another word verification(which is done to prevent auto-signups). When you type in your blog address, you can click a link that says "check availability". This will tell you whether or not the desired name is available. If the first name you wish to have is not available, keep typing in different variations of the name until you find one that is available.

After you have put in all the information, click "Continue".

Choosing a Template

After you click "Continue", you'll be asked to choose a template. The template can be changed at any time after you sign-up for the blog, so you don't have to choose an "official" template now.

If you scroll down, you'll see a variety of different templates. Click on the one that you like best and then click "Continue".

Your First Blog Post

After you've chosen a template, you'll see that your blog has been created and that there is a button to "Start Posting". Click that button.

You'll be taken to a page that is similar to the posting page at a message board. There is a "Title" field, where you can put in the title of this particular blog posting. Then there is a bigger field, which is the body of your post. Type all you want in this "Body" field, as there is no limit.

Note that there are options above the field to bold, italicize, underline or spell check the text. There is also the option of changing the size and color of the text, plus the ability to add bullet points, numbered lists and even pictures. For now, you'll just do a simple "Welcome" post.

In the "Title" field, type "Welcome!" In the "Body" field, type your message. You could start with a simple introduction, talking about yourself and the purpose of the blog. When you're done typing the message, click the "Publish" button. It is worth noting that you can choose to save the post as a draft, if you want to go back and later finish the post.

After you've clicked "Publish", you'll see that your blog has been published successfully. Click the "View Blog" link to view the results of your work. You'll now see your post.

Logging into Blogger after the first post

You'll go to Blogger.com and click on the "Old Blogger" link at the top right of the page. Type in the email address and password that you signed up with. You'll be taken to the "Dashboard" of your blog. If you want to enter a new post on your blog, click "New Post". Then follow the instructions mentioned in the previous section. Or if you want to edit the template, add/edit elements to your page, you'll click "Settings" and then "Template".

That's all there is to it. Blogs, whether they are hosted at blogger.com or another free blog site, are incredibly useful and fun.

Blogger makes setting up and running a blog very easy for those who have never done it before. So what are you waiting for? Sign-up for a free blog at Blogger.com today and enjoy posting!

Creating A Blog On Your Site Easily

Creating a blog on your site isn't as daunting as it may initially sound.

There are several different ways that you can go about the process. All of them assume that you have some kind of web space hosting of your own - this is readily available nowadays for very little money, so don't panic.

The very cheapest web hosting is free but this often comes with adverts that pay the service hosting your site enough money for them to offer you the space for free.

If you expect your site to generate a reasonable amount of traffic then it's better to spend a few dollars a month on reliable web hosting.

Next up is to decide on your blog platform.

1. Use Blogger on your own site

Google's Blogger service gives you the option of using Blogger and its accompanying site or simply using Blogger to write your posts, which then get published on your own site.

It's easy to do this. Just go into your Blogger control panel, click the Settings tab and then select the Publishing tab. You'll see a link that says "Switch to custom domain". You'll then be given the option of buying a brand new domain for your blog or pointing it to a domain you already use. It's a simple matter of following the instructions on screen. Once you've done that, your Blogger blog will be posted to your own website instead of on Blogger.

2. Use Wordpress on your own site

This isn't quite as easy as Blogger, but it's pretty close. Most hosts offer a one click install of Wordpress. This installs the basic software on your web hosting space and then allows you to do whatever tweaks you need to make the blog your own rather than the "out of the box" settings. At the very least, you should turn on Akismet anti spam in your plug-ins. This involves getting an API key from Wordpress but that's a simple matter of clicking a few links and following the instructions that appear.

Once you've got Wordpress installed, check out a few tutorial sites to make sure that you've got your brand new blog set up as efficiently as possible so that the search engines can give it the publicity it deserves.

3. Choose a different blogging platform

Blogger and Wordpress are just two of the blog platforms available. There are lots more including systems such as Moveable Type amongst others.

That said, most people find that either the simplicity of Blogger or the customizable nature of Wordpress are more than adequate for their needs. Both platforms are very well supported and you're almost certain to be able to do exactly what you want to do with them.

Whichever you choose, you should make sure that you perform regular backups of your posts.

Apart from your writing, the template you choose for your new blog is the biggest statement you can make to the outside world. Both Blogger and Wordpress come with lots of templates or you can have your own template custom designed if you want to really stand out from the crowd.

Good Blog Content

In blogging, content is the lifeline of blogs. It is what makes each blog ticks, come alive or stand out from the rest. We cannot dispute the fact that content is the driver and the direction that the blog is moving is controlled by this driver. Whether we like it or not, content remains the primary yardstick to the success of each blog. Therefore, it is not wrong to say that good blog content matters the most as far as the success of the blog is concerned.

Blog content is read within the posts that are placed in the blog. It follows therefore that before posts can be made, content must be developed first. Such content development can be initiated through writing, compiling and linking. No matter which route is chosen for content generation, the fact still remains that it has to be developed first and has to be of quality and relevance to the title of your blog, that is to say, it must agree with your niche.

Often a mind-boggling question is the topic of frequency of posting. How often is a blogger required to submit new posts? What kind of posting schedule is preferred or should be followed? There are really no hard and fast rules concerning the frequency of submitting fresh posts. The one thing to look at is how much time can be spared for writing the new posts. Each post would require different amount of time to think out what you intend to say, read and edit what is being written and counter-checking spelling or grammatical errors. The point here to emphasize is that a fresh post will be best written at a time slot which you really can afford to spare, so that it will not be completed without inspiration but with refreshing zest and creative imagination.

Blog content may be generated in various styles best suited to your blog:

(1) Compiled -- This permits quoting content from other blogs or experts with proper referencing .

(2) Narrative -- Similar to an essay which can either be lengthy or short.

(3) Link lists -- This style is time-saving. What is needed is merely creating the links and organizing them.

(4) Supplementary links -- This requires creating the links in HTML within your posts for content similar to yours.

Throughout the presentation of the blog content, it is always good to be the voice of the blog, that is to say, be yourself. Write as you think and keep the thoughts flowing smoothly, continuously and creatively real. Should any idea for a blog post pops up, it is always beneficial to write it down first and post it later. Do not neglect this idea as it may turn out to be your blog's number one post!

To write good posts, good content is the prerequisite. This can be generated if it follows certain guidelines:

(1) Be attention-seeking

A piece of good content is attention seeking. It contains information that is helpful and valuable to visitors who will return to source for others. Your blog will be bookmarked in the process. It will become a popular resource blog.

(2) Inducing subscription

With the content that is updated on a regular basis, it is good to provide visitors with a subscription feature. They will be able to subscribe through the feed system on your blog.

(3) Always aiming for more links

None is further from the truth that if your blog has more incoming links, your rankings on search engines will vastly improve. This is a result that will happen only after your blog has gained a favorable impression with other bloggers in terms of good blog content. In their eyes, your blog is their valuable resource center.

(4) Welcoming comments

To encourage openness and friendly interaction, always encourage visitors to post their comments on your blog. It is good for self-development. Comments should be taken with a positive mindset.

(5) Encourage action-taking

In your content, it is always possible to arouse the interest and urgency of the visitors to engage them in your call-to-action undertaking. It has to be one call that is strong and emphatic.

When there is a vast amount of posts on your blogs, it is good to place them into archives. The archive feature stores and places your posts in neat arrangement on daily, weekly and monthly basis. Your posts should be placed in categories that they fit into. Categories can be customized to your taste, style and creativity.

Generating good blog content should be the dream of every blogger. It will bring satisfaction and joy knowing that your blog content is well read by visitors and that your blog has turned out to be the hot favorite as a valuable resource.

How To Setup A Free Website

I've never been very good at paying for stuff. I don't know why, but for some reason I like free things!

Of course I share this curse with many others out there who just want stuff for free darnit!

So when I began trying to share with others how I'm becoming successful and making money, I thought, "why not show them how to do it with little or even NO investment". Is it possible?

Yes and no.

I want to share with you the basics of how to setup a free website that is actually pretty nice and can actually make you money.

The reason I say Yes and No above, is that Yes it is possible to create a free website that makes money...but No it's not a good long-term plan.

There are several reasons for that, the primary reason being that a free website can be deleted by the site owner at any time for any reason.

Ok, so let's talk about how to do this.

First step: Go to Blogger.com and either log in with your Gmail account or create a Google account to use.

Second step: Click the button that reads "Create Your Blog Now", then enter your Gmail email account twice, your password, and the name you wouldn't mind being displayed if you so choose. Then enter the verification code and accept the agreement. Click "continue".

Third step: Now give your blog a name. This "blog" will be your free website. So the name you give it will appear at the top of the page. The "blog address" is the URL or website address that someone will type in to go to your blog. You can name it the same as your Blog Name if it's not taken and must be all one word or separated by a dash or underscore. Now click "continue".

Fourth step: Next you'll choose a template. This is just the look of your blog. Then click "continue".

Fifth step: Now you'll see a message that says "Your blog has been created!" and a button to "start posting". Click that and do your first blog entry.

If you are setting this up as a website substitute, you can make your first post the actual "content" of your site. So if you are creating a review site that talks about different Web Hosting Providers, you could either review them all in a single post, or do a separate review as a separate post, and do like 3 of them.

I also encourage you to poke around in your blog settings, change stuff and see what it looks like. There are many settings you can adjust to make your blog appear differently.

To make money with your blog you can either use it as an Affiliate Marketing site where you promote other people's stuff, or put a bunch of Adsense ads on it and create really useful content to attract visitors.

Either way, that is another topic for another day. I show people how to do this sort of thing at my website.

Blog Software

There are a number of good choices when it comes to blog platforms. Two of the most popular are Wordpress and Blogger.com blogs. You also could use Typepad or Drupal. Whatever your choice for blogging, you should have your own domain for your blog. That gives you the freedom to post whatever you want and to control the content.

A blog should be original content. The search engines rate blogs higher with good original content over blogs that simply re-post articles or snippets from other sources.

If you've been a blogger for very long you probably find that you prepare your blog posts in bunches. You might write 5 or 10 blogs posts in one day. Some folks will then go to the trouble of logging onto their blog each day to post an article. That can burn you out on blogging quickly. It is better to use a blog automator. A blog automator is a software tool that lets you load all your articles or blog posts to a queue, select the schedule for posting and select the blog to post to.

Folks who post to blogs for a living, or to generate extra income, use a blog automator.

Two blog secrets to keep in mind are that it's important to post original content and to post regularly - at least a couple times each week. Those are two secrets to successful blogging no matter which blog platform you use.

Blogging for Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) success

Blogs are great for helping to boost your seo rankings. You can use a blog to get a new site ranked quickly and ahead of your main site if you post on a frequent basis.

While the main goal of your blog may be to express your thoughts, talk to your customers in a more personal way or as a method to market your product or services, there is another significant part to blogging.

Internet Marketing

Because of the frequency of active blogs the search engines have put a lot of weight on blogs that are purposeful and those that tend to stay on topic.

It's the freshness of content that a search engine craves, and it is the blogs that provide this. The ideal situation is that the blog would provide for tiny oddments of information that over time build up to a greater whole.

But the most over looked element of a blog is that once you've established a regular pattern of posting and you have the Googlebot crawling your site every few days, you can then use that to link to other sites, sub-domains or any deep links that you need to get crawled. While most blog postings may not have direct links to any sites in particular, you could always design your blog with some site wide links down the side.

A mistake made by the recreational blogger is that they don't realize that you can optimise your blog. True, most blogs only have a few areas, namely the "home" page and the "archive" page. But depending on the tool being used to post the blog, there are some places where you can take advantage and optimise for the search engines.

The title of your blog should be thought of as a headline to get the reader's attention - but remember that your blog title is also what gets archived - that way your titles can become search queries as well.

While the main objective of a blog should be to get your message out, don't forget to take a little time for search marketing and you should see your efforts payoff in the search engine rankings.

Good luck.

Earn Money Online With Blogging

Blogs are usually (but not always) written by one person and are updated pretty regularly. Blogs are often written on a particular topic - there are blogs on virtually any topic you can think of. From photography, to spirituality, to recipes, to personal diaries to hobbies - blogging has as many applications and varieties as you can imagine. Whole blog communities have sprung up around some of these topics putting people into contact with each other in relationships where they can learn, share ideas, make friends with and even do business with people with similar interests from around the world.

A blog is basically a journal that is available on the web. The activity of updating a blog is "blogging" and someone who keeps a blog is a "blogger." Blogs are typically updated daily using software that allows people with little or no technical background to update and maintain the blog. Blogs usually have a few features that are useful to know about if you want to get the most out of them as a reader. Lets examine a couple briefly.

Archives - You might look at the front page of a blog and think that there is not much to them. A few recent entries, some links to other sites and not much else. However its worth knowing that there is a lot more going on under the surface that might initially meet the eye.

When a post is first written it goes to the top of the front page. As it gets older it begins its journey down the page until it disappears from it. This is not the end of its life however, because it goes into the 'Archives' of a blog. It sounds like a dusty dark place but its really just like a filing cabinet that is easily accessible in a couple of ways. You can read the 'archives' simply by looking on the 'sidebar' on the left or right at the 'archives' or 'categories' section. There you will see links to all the old posts which you can access either by category. You'll see a category for 'Advertising' - click that link and you'll see all the old posts on the topic of Advertising with the most recent at the top and the oldest at the bottom.

Comments - Not all blogs use comments - but most do. You can give feedback on almost everything that is written simply by clicking the 'comments' link at the bottom of each one of the posts. This will take you to a little form where you leave your name, email and a link to your own blog if you have one as well as your feedback, comment, critique, question, essay on why you love the blog, promise of money.... etc).

A great way to learn about blogs is to read a few. Leave some comments, ask questions and bookmark your favourites. An even better way to learn about blogs is to start your own.

In conclusion a blog is an easily, instantly, and frequently updated Web site, focused around a topic, industry, or personality and is an easy way to earn money online.

Dynamite Tips To Generate Free Website Traffic

Need MORE TRAFFIC to your website or affiliate links? There are many ways to increase traffic and increase sales. Not having enough traffic to your website is why 95% of all online businesses fail. So do you want to be one of those 95% who fail or a profitable website owner? The choice is yours. Are you ready to learn how to generate free website traffic? Then let's get started!

First of all, there are so many ways to get traffic. I can't say there is any one single way that I have received all of my traffic. I get traffic coming to my site from so many different methods. Let's take a look at the 5 most common ways to generate free website traffic.

**************************************************** 5 Most Common Ways to Drive Traffic to Your Website **************************************************** 1.) Free traffic exchanges. Free traffic exchanges are a great way to advertise your site. Want to know how a traffic exchange works: You sign up free and start viewing WebPages and usually for every 2 pages you view you get 1 credit (2:1 ratio) to show your site.

The best way to use traffic exchanges is to show what is called a splash page. A splash page is a short fast loading page that has an attention grabbing headline and usually some kind of Opt-In sign up form to build a mailing list. You can also build a splash page from your affiliate's pages like I did on this page: (www)affiliatemoneysystems.com/splash/Resell.html. This page took less than 5 minutes to make.

Use traffic exchanges to build your list with Opt-In pages that you are giving away a free something to get their name and email address put into your autoresponder.

To get a list of free traffic exchanges to join do a search on Google using this phase: Manual Traffic Exchanges.

2.) Article writing. Writing articles also increase traffic. Anyone can write a 300-500 word article in a very short amount of time. One of the easiest ways is to ezinearticles.com and search on your topic and read other peoples articles and then take notes and rewrite in your own words. Always make sure that at the end of your article you place your website link in the resource box along with some easy information about you or your product. This is the place you advertise your site and get people to click. And hopefully other websites will post your article on their site and their members will read your article and click your link. It's called Free targeted traffic.

Want to know where to submit your articles? Go to Google and search on this phrase: Free Article Directories and you should get a bunch to article directories to submit to. Here are some places to go: ezinearticles.com, goarticles.com, articledashboard.com, articlejoe.net.

3.) Forums. This method for generating free website traffic to your site is not used as much as it should be. Forums are a great place to advertise, but you can't go right into a forum and start blasting your ads or else you will not be taken seriously about anything.

Using a forum to advertise is a slower process. You want to join a forum for your type of niche (product you are selling) and set up a signature file with your website link at the end and then just start out checking out some of the questions people are asking and if you can answer them then do. If you have questions then by all means ask them. Every time you post anything in a forum your signature file is posted as well. Introduce yourself to the forum when you first sign up and then start interacting with the other members.

To find some forums to join go to Google and type in your niche + forums for an example if your niche is affiliate products you would type in: Affiliate Forums. You can find all kinds of forums to join and start making new friends and getting more website traffic.

4.) Squidoo. Squidoo is the next generation of social networking site similar to MySpace, but for grown-ups, not tweens and teens.

All you have to do is sign up for a free Squidoo account and you can be on your way to building a lens in an instant. A lens is just your space on Squidoo your web page within their site.

I don't really know why there hasn't been more of a fuss over this website. I think there are several good marketers out there making good money with Squidoo, but are keeping quiet about it.

5.) Blogging. Turn Your Personal Opinions, Rants And Raves Into New Subscribers, Loyal Targeted Traffic And A Flood Of New Customers And Income! Blogging has become the new sensation for generating free website traffic. It is easy to do and it is Free. You can use blogger.com to set up your own blog with an easy step by step process you can have your blog up and running in no time.

A blog is normally a single page of entries. There may be archives of older entries, but the "main page" of a blog is all anyone really cares about. You can put anything on your blog and advertise it. Write an article about your affiliate program and post it on your blog and then go to pingoat.com and register and send traffic to your blog. Blogs are a great way to communicate with the public on just about any topic.

Getting free website traffic isn't all that hard if you just use your common sense. It helps if you have a system to follow and use. I use several systems to generate free website traffic and they all work well. The best system that I have found is listed below; if you follow this system you will make money and get lots of traffic. Remember only you can change your financial future and you can only do that by taking action!

Increase Traffic to Your Site

Getting folks to visit your site is a basic requirement if you hope to make good money, or if you want to build-up a readership or a list. It's not that you want just any visitor, but rather you want to get visitors with an interest in your topic or product. There are a number of techniques that a good webmaster will use to create a web site that draws strong traffic. One technique is that of using a blog with your web site.

Placing a blog on your domain in conjunction with your web site is one of the "must do" techniques that professional webmasters use to help generate traffic. It is very easy to sign-up for a free blog at blogger.com The trick is to then go into the advanced set-up features to host that blog on your own domain. That is actually easy to do. It can be done by just filling out a half dozen fields with the info to point to your domain.

Many webmasters place the blog on the homepage and then create the rest of the site behind that blog. That's a great technique. It's easy to do and the search engines seem to like the constantly updated content of the blog on the homepage. It's important to update the blog regularly and to place your original content on the blog. Try not to simply post articles from the various article directories.

Since most webmasters either have someone write their original content or they do that themselves by creating 5, 10 or more blog posts in one sitting, they then use a blog posting automator to spread out the postings over time. There are a couple good tools on the market for that. If you've ever blogged you know how tiring it can be to have to log-on to your blog each day or every few days and post content. It is much easier to load all the content to a queue, select the posting schedule and then let the blog automator do the posting for you. It's a huge relief and important for keeping your blog fresh.

The bottom line is that using a blog that is hosted on your domain is one important technique for every web site that wants to attract traffic to sell a product or to build up a list of readers or customers.

Make Easy Money Online

Making money online has never been easier. With the creation of adsense, affiliate programs, and product marketing, online marketing and sales has reached a level of sophistication that allows everyone to make money easily. All it takes is some time, some effort, and some forethought.

Choosing a Niche to Make Easy Money

Although everyone appears to be doing it, there doesn't seem to be a lot of guidance on where to start. As you may or may not know, the first step is choosing a niche or two and then putting together a blog to attract people to your niche site. Finding a niche is usually as easy as thinking about what people look for online, what they buy online, and then building a site around that. I use other methods that increase my chances, which I will discuss later, but they are unimportant here.

Setting up a Blog to Make Easy Money

Once you have decided on your niche, it is now time to set up your blog. They important thing to keep in mind is that you do not want to set this up to get max readers, get on entertainment tonight, and make the front page of US Weekly. This blog is meant to do one thing; get traffic on this product, so when they don't find exactly what they are looking they will click on your ads or links and make you some money. Because of this goal, your blog will not be dressy, it will not have many bells and whistles. It will be basic, it will be concise, and it will make you money!

There are many places to make a blog, but why not take advantage of the free one? Blogger.com will let you create any blog you want (porn blogs and gambling blogs are not encouraged), set everything up for you, and all you have to do is type! A computer novice could do this, and you can too.

Step one is to go to blogger and click on create a new blog. Once you've done that enter in your blog title. It is important that the title have your keywords and as little other language as possible. To do this, use a pipe signal where you would use and ( | is it - use shift plus backward slash to get it). For instance, my blog title is "Make Money Easy | Make Money Fast." This is important because it is the first thing the Google bot is going to look at when it scans your site to see what it is about. You want this keyword to get picked up so you can begin to get indexed as soon as possible.

After the title, enter your blog address; make it as relevant to your topic as possible. This is another sign to the search engines as to what your site is about. Get it? Now enter the word verification.

The next step is choosing a template. Remember, we want traffic, not fans, so I'd stick with Minima. It translates to the most clicks, in my experience. Congratulations, you've just created your blog and you can now start making money!!

Before posting, I'd suggest setting up your blog to maximize its potential. First go to settings. Where it says description, enter the keywords you want to optimize, remembering to use the pipe symbol instead of "and" or "or." Later, you can come back and edit this to reflect your keyword of the minute. When you are done with that, leave everything else, save the settings and move on to publishing in the settings tab.

In publishing, it should have your blogspot address. This is important because this is where your posts go. You may want to change this after you get started, to maximize your traffic.

Next is formatting. On the show button, click 1 post on the main page. Pick your time zone and date preferences and where it says show link fields, choose "yes." This lets you make a separate link for each of your posts. When you create a post, make sure you enter your blog address in there. Save those settings and go to Comments.

In comments, show backlinks and make sure word verification for comments is on.

Archiving should stay the way it is. Now go to layout. This is where you can customize your site by adding elements. Adsense, html, and other things are located here. I encourage you to play with it, but would suggest waiting to put adsense on your site for at least a month. This will allow you to build up page rank, get some backlinks, and gain some credibility with Google.

This article is way too long. I'll explain more later.

Perfect Spring 2008 Prom Dress

Now that Spring is just around the corner, young women all over the world are in pursuit of the hottest prom dresses. Even though styles and colors of prom dresses change each year, one thing remains the same: unique prom dresses make everyone's jaw drop. Some of the most unique 2008 prom dresses have glitz, flair, and elegance. They enable young women to stand out from the crowd and draw positive reactions from parents and peers.

In order to select the best dress from a sea of prom dresses, there are several factors young women should consider. For instance, your body type can play an important role when deciding which prom dress to buy. Other important factors are the color of the dress and the style of the prom dress. Ideally, women should select prom dresses that compliment their figure, hair color, and skin tone.

How do you know which prom dresses will look best on you? Consider your body type first. If you're a plus size girl, don't even bother looking at smaller dresses. Sure, these prom dresses may look sexy in a photograph, but they're generally created to make smaller women look more curvy and voluptuous. If you're already curvy, you don't really need the extra help! Instead, look for plus size prom dresses which will accentuate your fuller figure.

What type of 2008 plus size prom dresses are available to plus size women? There are a lot of selections to choose from, but it appears that strapless plus size prom dresses are hot in 2008! Try to imagine yourself in a strapless prom dress with your hair up, leaving your shoulders and neckline bare for a more mature look. On the other hand, if you're uncomfortable in strapless prom dresses, consider shopping for prom dresses with an empire waist. Essentially, this type of prom dress will elongate your body, making you look taller and slimmer.

Young women that are petite or have an athletic body type will benefit from strapless prom dresses or prom dresses that have spaghetti straps. Strapless prom dresses that are form-fitting will accentuate a small-medium bust, show off bare shoulders and neckline, and show off feminine curves.

Nevertheless, all young women who feel uncomfortable in form-fitting prom dresses can opt to find prom dresses with a flair. Take for instance a prom dress with a trumpet shaped skirt which will flow off from your waistline as you sashay across the dance floor. This is a very common choice for thin young women who worry that their body is too straight and narrow for a form fitting prom dress.

In addition to searching for sexy prom dresses, plus size prom dresses, affordable prom dresses, and 2008 prom dress styles, a lot of young women search for prom dress tips. These tips offer assistance to young women who need help to decide what colors and styles of prom dresses will suit them best for their exciting prom night in 2008.

Some of the hottest colors for 2008 prom dresses are red prom dresses, pink prom dresses, green prom dresses, and blue prom dresses. Of course there are non-traditional colors which will make your prom dress unique if you wish to stand out from the crowd. Take for instance the chocolate brown prom dress or the black prom dress, which offer both sophistication and fun for the young woman that doesn't like pale or bright colors. While pastel colors are common for traditional prom dresses, earth tones have become increasingly popular over recent years.

A lot of young women prefer non traditional prom dresses because they want to look unique. Unique affordable prom dresses can be found in many styles. A black knee-length prom dress with large sequence dots can be used as an emo prom dress because it has a punk look for formal wear.

With a few accessories, a young woman can play any prom gown up or down, suiting their taste and style.

Whether you're attending a junior prom or a senior prom, a prom is a very special occasion. There are only a few occasions in your life when people will remember what you wore and how you looked, and this is one of them. So it's important to look your best. Instead of waiting until the last minute to shop for prom dresses, it's always a good idea to get an early start. It's never to early to start shopping for prom dresses! If you want to find the best sales on prom dresses and the best styles available, start shopping now. This is the best time to find cheap prom dresses in assorted styles and colors.

Selecting prom dresses may seem like a tedious task, but it's supposed to be fun! Remember to take your time and try not to get overwhelmed by the many different colors, sizes, and styles of prom dresses. Search for inexpensive prom dresses, but consider the quality of the prom dress too. You can find an affordable prom dress that's beautiful and fun. It's not impossible!

Photographs of models in prom dresses are intended to sell you a dream. Remember, the body doesn't come with the dress, it's your body that's going to fill the dress. In other words, if you're a thin girl, don't look at dresses made for women with fuller figures. If you're a plus size girl, don't bother looking at dresses made for smaller-framed women. There's a prom dress out there right now that will fit you like a glove! Take your time, shop wisely, and find your dream prom dress for 2008.

Buy Cheap designer Prom dress

Buying a designer prom dress is the right decision as they are better made, better designed and will make you look and feel fabulous. You might think that buying designer means paying top dollar but you'd be wrong. You can buy designer at low prices.

There's a misconception that designer prom dress are expensive. While some do cost in excess of $500 many can be bought much cheaper than this. The cost is directly proportional to the quality of the material used, how much is used and the level of workmanship that's gone into making the gown. Depending on what style you buy, you can pay as little as $150. This is very cheap for a gown that has been designed and made by a top fashion house.

A Jessica McClintock prom dress has been a favorite choice by many women for many years. This fashion house produces designs that are truly beautiful, encompassing all styles. You can buy one of its creations for as little as $120 - a pair of trainers can cost more. And, you're not paying for some design of last season, what you're paying for is a prom gown that is beautifully made and would make any girl feel fabulous wearing it.

How about a Flirt prom dress? Again, this fashion house makes exquisite gowns and while many cost upwards of $400 you can buy a full-length skirt gown for as little as $180 - a beautiful, strap-less gown with sweetheart neckline that is accented with a rhinestone cluster and a sweep train skirt; truly gorgeous.

The Jovani prom dress is one of the most coveted of gowns. Jovani creations are worn by celebrities the world over, so why wouldn't any girl want a Jovani? Imagine, going to your prom in a Jovani? Well, you can; you can buy a real gem of a frock for under $300.

The above was just a selection of what's on offer from major designers. The prices were for current collections. You can buy more cheaply if you buy from last year's collection. Each year brings in more fabulous designs and many boutiques want to ship out their old lines; they sell them at discounted prices.

So think about buying an item from last year; styles won't have changed much - hardly at all. After all, for the same price, would you rather buy a Jovani from last year's collection or one from JC Penny's?

A good place to start looking to buy a cheap designer prom dress is online. Find a designer, or even a particular dress you like, and see what each retailer is offering. Compare prices; you can find real bargains if you look hard enough.

But before you buy a prom dress online, take a trip to your local store and see what's on offer there. If you've already found the dress online at a cheaper price, haggle. The store will be keen to sell last year's inventory so they'll try their best to move on price.

There's nothing like wearing a designer prom dress to make a girl feel special on the most important night of her life. And, if she's smart, she can get one for the same price as other girls who buy a 'no brand' dress from a department store.

Cheap Prom Dresses

Ask any girl and she will tell you that knowing where to find good quality cheap prom dresses is one of life's essential "must knows". This fact is borne out by the number of times this particular topic appears on question and answer sites like Yahoo Answers.

During their teenage years, most girls attend formal occasions which require them to wear a formal dress. If you were to buy a very luxurious outfit each time you attended one of these dances, it could set you back at much as $400 each time. Even if you were to buy a reasonably priced dress, you might have difficulty getting much change out of $200.

Obviously you could buy a couple of good quality prom dresses for your wardrobe, but here's the rub. No girl in her right mind wants to be seen in the same dress twice, am I right? So how do you get around the problem of being seen to be stylish without running up massive debts on your credit card? The clue is in the title of the article - yes you've guessed it - buy cheap prom dresses!

So having solved the problem, where is the best place to buy cheap priced prom dresses? In my experience the best place to purchase your cheap prom dresses is from the Internet. Believe it or not, these can be sourced for less than $100. This is almost a throwaway price and easily affordable for most people. Not only are these garments cheap they are also normally in the latest cuts and styles. If you don't mind wearing cheap prom dresses that are slightly used you can get them even cheaper!

Here are a few more tips for buying your cheap prom dresses from the Internet:

Don't plump for the site at the top of the search engine. Make sure you visit at least half a dozen sites and check out what they have to offer first before making your mind up. Also, ask yourself a few common sense questions prior to buying:

· Does the seller have satisfied customers? · What is the seller's refund policy? · Pay with a credit card if possible, it will offer you the maximum protection from fraud etc.

Conclusion

Cheap prom dresses are the best way to ensure that a young woman looks special every time, without breaking the bank.

2008 Prom Dress

From beads and jewel-tones to lame and classic black, there are many styles of prom dresses to love for 2008.

In fashion, most trends are gone before you know it. Luckily, that's not necessarily the case with prom dresses. Although each new prom season has its own stars, most prom dresses stay in style for a long time, with a few minor changes. Here are the trends that are shaping up to be the hits of the 2008 prom season.

Beads Indeed
Beads add pizazz to any prom dress, and whether they're used sparingly or liberally, they're showing up everywhere for prom 2008.

Serious Shine
You can't go wrong with a lame prom dress. Whether you opt for pink, red, gold, silver or black, lame is hot, hot, hot!

Bright is the New Black
Want to stand out in a sea of black? Wear a boldly colored prom dress. From brilliant blue to deep red, a brightly-colored prom dress will make it your night to shine.

Sleek Chic
Curve-hugging styles (as seen on the red carpet) are just as hot for prom 2008 as they are for celebrities.

Fashion Flair
Let your glamorous side out to play in a prom dress that that's all about making you the star. Sequin, beads, metallic fabric - it's all good for prom 2008!

Golden Girl
Nothing matches the elegance and simplicity of gold. Luckily, you'll see lots of gold prom dresses for 2008.

Bold Print
One of the freshest trends for prom 2008 is the influx of prints for prom dresses. Whether you choose floral or graphic or somewhere in between, a prom dress that bears a print is sure to get you lots of attention.

Finding Prom Dresses that Suit Your Body Type

Young or old, every woman wants to dress to look her best. That's doubly true when it comes to formal occasions, since everyone will notice what others are wearing. Add in the pressures of being a teenager, and shopping for prom dresses can become a worrisome struggle. The good news is that there are evening dresses designed for every body type and individual style. Follow these simple guidelines for finding formal dresses that will make you look and feel great.

Body Image and Loving Yourself

There's not a teenager around who isn't self-conscious about some aspect of her body. After all, we live in a culture that has an idealized standard of beauty that is simply unrealistic. The models in the fashion magazines and the celebrities we admire are the exception, rather than the rule. "Real" women don't look like models, and you shouldn't feel pressured to conform to a standard that is unattainable.

Before you start looking for prom dresses, look in the mirror and learn to love the image that looks back at you. Whether you're petite or tall, thin or plus size, understand that you deserve to have both your inner and outer beauty shine through on prom night. Decide which of your physical features you'd like to accentuate, and which you'd like to downplay.

Accentuating the Positive

If you're petite, for example, perhaps you'd like to dress so that your torso or your legs look longer. If that's the case, look at styles with clean lines and that don't have a lot of excess fabric. Short cocktail dresses might be a good choice, as they draw attention to your legs. An empire waist will lengthen your appearance, and a sizzling pair of stilettos will add height.

Plus-size girls can choose from among a wide range of styles. If you're pear shaped, you can show off your booty with a form-fitting dress, or opt for a flowing, vertically draped skirt with a fitted bodice to balance out your figure. If you're apple shaped, V-necklines are especially flattering. An empire waist will draw attention upward, though there's nothing wrong with flaunting your curves.

If you have an hourglass shape, virtually every dress will enhance your figure. Draw attention to your upper torso with a fitted bodice or corset, or go for sheer elegance with pageant dresses. Prints and complementary color combinations will also serve you well.

Girls who are especially slender can go one of two ways. First, you can try styles that incorporate a lot of fabric, and that feature gathering or shirring. Second, you can draw attention to or enhance your bustline with styles that are embellished or that use a contrasting color at the bust.

If you have a full bust, you can either enhance the feature with a strapless gown or look for prom dresses with straps that are widely spaced to downplay your bust. V-necklines will also add length and draw attention upward toward your face.

Whatever your body shape, you can find prom dresses that are flattering, elegant, and fun. Most of all, remember that beauty comes from self-confidence, a sense of style, and self-love.
